Sourcing guide
How to source washable rugs from a B2B manufacturer.
This guide helps importers, distributors, retail buyers, and private label brands prepare a complete rug inquiry before requesting samples or prices.
1. Define the sales channel
Retail chains usually need stable cartons, barcodes, shelf-ready packing, and repeat SKUs. Marketplace sellers often care about carton size, folded packing, FBA requirements, and photo-ready styles. Project buyers need durability, replacement planning, and clear documentation.
2. Choose construction and backing
Washable low-pile rugs, printed chenille rugs, tufted rugs, and modular carpet tiles each serve different price points and use cases. Backing choices can affect anti-slip performance, washability, odor, weight, and target market compliance.
3. Prepare a useful quote brief
A strong inquiry includes size matrix, annual volume, destination market, target price, preferred material, backing request, packaging format, artwork status, and required testing.
4. Approve samples before bulk production
Common sample checkpoints include color strike-off, hand feel, backing, edge binding, wash test, carton mockup, and label accuracy.
5. Plan repeat orders early
For wholesale and private label programs, repeat order planning matters as much as the first shipment. Define active SKUs, seasonal refreshes, and discontinued patterns before launch.
